Flowers have always been part of my life and home. Growing up in Ceres, South Africa, I was surrounded by the Fynbos flowers, they are not only beautiful, but also hardy and can last in a vase for weeks, this is why they are known as ‘Everlastings’.
In our home growing up, there were always fresh cut flowers brightening up the rooms. My dad would go out and pick wild flowers, bringing them back to my mom. My gran’s letters would often have beautiful, dried flowers she’d tucked away in the envelope. When I see flowers they take me back to these happy times in my life.
My Everlastings are crafted with these memories of love, joy and home in mind. Through them I would like to add warmth and vibrance to peoples’ spaces. To bring colour to someone’s day. I hope that when you share Everlastings with those you care about, the love, warmth and happiness from my memories filters through, bringing not just a few days of joy, but everlasting.
